  3. The large intestine is 5 to 6 feet long.

  4. Small intestine is the biggest site of chemical digestion in your gut.

  5. Small intestine is 10 to 16 feet in a length.

  6. Small intestine takes 2 to 6 hours for food to pass and majority of nutrients are absorbed here.

  7. Most people can live without a stomach or large intestine, but it is harder to live without a small intestine.
